Club terms
Version 2026-09-15-club
These terms apply when you use PACIT for a football club. By creating a club account you agree to them.
1. Who we are
PACIT is being incorporated. Until it is, PACIT is operated by Oliver Cormack, one of its founders, who is responsible for it and for the personal data described here. In these pages, "PACIT", "we" and "us" mean Oliver Cormack operating PACIT. When the company is formed, these pages will name it, and we will tell account holders.
2. Who may use PACIT for a club
- You must make or advise on football decisions at the club you name, and be at least 18.
- The information you give us about yourself and your club must be true.
- We verify clubs. Until we have, some features stay closed, including inviting coaches. We may ask for more information, and we may decline to verify an account.
- Each account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
3. What PACIT does
PACIT lets a club set out how it wants to play, reads back what that way of playing asks of players, and compares coaches the club invites against it. Other services, such as reading players against your philosophy, are available by separate agreement with us.
4. What is yours and what is ours
- Yours: what you declare about your club, your notes and your rankings. You give us permission to store and use them to provide PACIT to you.
- Ours: PACIT itself, including its questions, readings, scores, methods, software and design. Using PACIT gives you no rights in them beyond using PACIT for your club under these terms.
- We do not show your club's information to any other club.
5. Confidentiality
Treat what PACIT shows you as confidential: coaches' answers, readings, scores and anything else you see inside PACIT that is not public. Use it only for your club's own football decisions, and share it only with people at your club who need it and are bound to keep it confidential.
6. Using PACIT fairly
You must not:
- copy, rebuild, reverse engineer or benchmark PACIT, or use it to help build a competing product or service,
- scrape it, or access it with automated tools or scripts,
- pretend to be someone else, or use a club's name without that club's authority,
- invite anyone you do not have a genuine reason to consider for a role at your club, or send PACIT invitations as marketing,
- try to see other clubs' information, or get around any limit or security measure, or
- use PACIT in a way that breaks the law, including employment, equality and data protection law.
7. Coaches and scores
- A coach's match number compares the coach's declared answers with yours. It is not an assessment of the coach's ability, character or suitability, and it does not use their record or their results.
- Do not make a hiring decision on the number alone. Decisions about coaches are yours, and so is complying with the law when you make them.
- PACIT does not act for you or for any coach, and does not negotiate or agree anything on anyone's behalf.
8. Fees
Creating an account and using the features described in section 3 is free. We will not charge you for anything unless you have agreed the service and the price with us in writing first.
9. No guarantees
We work to keep PACIT accurate and available, but we provide it as it is. Readings and scores depend on the answers given to PACIT, and we do not promise any result from using it, including any appointment or signing.
10. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
- Otherwise, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, opportunity or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make using PACIT.
- Otherwise, our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the greater of £100 and the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Suspension and ending
- You can stop using PACIT and ask us to delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we cannot verify, or where we need to protect PACIT or other people. Where it is fair to, we will tell you why first.
- Sections 4, 5, 6, 10 and 13 continue after an account ends.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you by email or when you next sign in, before it applies to you. The version above shows which terms are current.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute about them.
